Men of Mary
A Brotherhood That Gathers
Viri Mariae is a brotherhood, united by formation, prayer, and mission. It is more than a personal path; it is a communal way of life. When two or more men embrace the Rule of Life, a local group may be formed.

These gatherings are simple and reverent, meant to strengthen one another in holiness and draw each man into the contemplative life. You need no hall or program — only faith, brothers, and a place to meet.

Groups may begin with prayer, Scripture, and conversation, and grow toward the complete pattern of the Meeting Package as men deepen in confidence and number. What matters most is fidelity to Christ and true brotherhood, not perfection of form.

Appointing Roles
Fraternity groups are led by those who serve.
While all brothers share a common mission, certain roles help uphold rhythm, reverence, and spiritual focus. These roles may rotate every 6–12 months through prayerful discernment:

• The Steward – Oversees the preparation and flow of each gathering, ensuring it remains faithful to the Rule and marked by order, piety, and devotion.
• The Fisher – Leads the fraternity’s outward face: extending invitations, welcoming newcomers, and fostering a spirit of brotherhood in those drawn to the call.
• The Keeper – Attends to the soul of the group, encouraging prayer, accountability, and mutual care among brothers.

These are sacred responsibilities, received in humility and fulfilled by those who serve with unseen strength and obedient hearts.

Full descriptions of these roles are found in the Meeting Package PDF.
Starting a Chapter?
To begin, we will send you a Local Chapter Form. This helps us recognise your fraternity, connect seekers in your area, and provide resources for your growth. It also lets us keep track of where Viri Mariae is taking root.
If the Holy Spirit is stirring your heart to gather men under the mantle of Our Lady, start where you are. With prayer, fidelity, and fraternity, a chapter of Viri Mariae can be born.
