Men of Mary
What Is the Rule of Life?
The Rule of Life is the spiritual heart of Viri Mariae. These five Articles shape every aspect of our identity: how we think, how we pray, how we lead, and how we serve.

This Rule governs the whole of life through obedience, consecration, study, apostolic witness, and brotherhood. We commit to living visibly Catholic lives, grounded in Sacred Tradition and ordered entirely to the social reign of Christ the King through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, in the spirit of St Dominic.

We invite you to read, pray with, and live this Rule.
The Five Articles
Each of the five articles expresses a key dimension of Catholic manhood. You may click to expand each one and read it in full, or download a printable version below.
1. Obedience to the One Church
We profess total fidelity to the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church, submitting ourselves with humility and love to the authority of the Pope and bishops in communion with him. We reject all forms of schism, dissent, and theological pride.

Obedience means leaning on the wisdom of the Church, handed down through generations and confirmed in the lives of the saints.
While many turn to personal interpretation and fleeting speculations, we hold fast to the unbroken voice of Sacred Tradition and the living Magisterium.

“To obey is better than sacrifice.”

2. Consecration to the Immaculate Virgin
We entrust our lives, vocations, and apostolic work to the Immaculata, our Queen, our refuge, and the surest path to Christ. Marian consecration is a continual offering, guiding our actions and purifying our desires.

As Christ chose to come to us through Mary, so we choose to return to Him the same way, trusting that she forms in us what she first received from Heaven.
She magnifies the Lord in us, so we go to her in all things, knowing that no one who ever fled to her protection was left unaided.

"In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph."

3. Formation in Veritas
We embrace a lifelong formation in truth, rooted in Scripture, Tradition, the Catechism, and the wisdom of St. Thomas Aquinas. Inspired by the classical tradition, we seek to form not just minds, but souls.
While the world offers endless stimulation and shallow pleasures, we choose depth over noise and the formation of the whole person over fragmentation.

Study changes us, because Truth is found in the living Christ, whom we come to know and love more deeply with each step of learning.

“True education is not the acquisition of skills, but the formation of men fit for eternity.”
4. Apostolic Presence
We bring Christ into our homes, parishes, workplaces, and communities through devotion, fidelity, and witness. We confront idols, rebuild what is decayed, and labour to sanctify the temporal order.

We are not passive observers of a declining world. We are builders, reformers, and witnesses to a greater Kingdom.

Our presence must stir questions, awaken hearts, and remind the world that Christ still reigns.

“Wherever a Vir Mariae stands, there too must Christ take root.”
5. Built in Brotherhood
We do not walk alone. Ours is a covenant of Catholic brotherhood, strengthened by prayer, spiritual accountability, and works of mercy. We challenge and support one another in becoming saints.

In times that isolate men and dissolves true fraternity, we choose covenant, candour, and communion.

Our bond is not built on sentiment or similarity, but on shared sacrifice and the pursuit of sanctity.
